The Devil You Don't Know
IT’S JUST A NOVEL, BUT...What if the panic to stop Donald Trump in 2016, then to impeach him, then to disqualify him, then to stop his comeback by any means possible, was not just opposition to conservative policies but something else? Something darker?
There are things the government knows that the public must not — and every new president must, by law, be briefed about them. In 1960, political newcomer John Kennedy was briefed and quickly launched a crash program to send astronauts to the moon. Then, soon after it was reached, the moon was suddenly abandoned. In 2016 Mr. Trump, then a complete political outsider, was elected and soon launched a new lunar program. He also ordered all UFO secrets revealed, launching a total panic to stop him. When he was successfully ousted, the UFO revelation was also abandoned.
None of these events have ever been convincingly explained. For more than six decades, anyone outside government who learns certain things has always been threatened to silence, deluded into believing they are wrong or persuaded that to admit their beliefs would ruin them. And if all that fails, they get a visit from an elite team of problem solvers. Let’s just call them Driver and Shotgun — two like-minded people who can’t believe their good luck to be doing what they love best and getting paid for it.
They think they’re doing the right thing for their country. But then comes a moonless night in the middle of a hellbent campaign to stop a political bogeyman from regaining the presidency, and suddenly Driver and Shotgun realize they’ve been lied to, manipulated and used by someone who is perhaps more than a man, or perhaps less than one, whose job is to maintain secrets at any cost. That shadowy presence is nobody to trifle with, but neither are Driver and Shotgun. And neither is the man they were sent to silence that night. The one who got away. Let’s just call him Cole, for now. He’s an old fellow who holds the proof that will change everything, and although he’s retired, that proof makes him extremely dangerous.
The Devil You Don’t Know is a tale of secrets, lies, fraud, deception, modern politics and a truth that nobody can handle. Of course it’s only a novel, which is just another kind of lie. Just like what you see and hear on television.
But what if…?

Speaking of the Devil
The Devil You Don’t Know is an unabashed parade of falsehoods, misrepresentations, distortions, fabrications and stone freaking lies. Says so right on the cover art. That’s what NOVEL means. It’s all lies, except for the parts that are true.
Truth is, even the most extreme head case could not have imagined some of the events in the historical truth that I folded into this tale as needed to make it fun. History provided the lunatic race to the moon in the 1960s, then its abandonment and now the new panic to go back to beat China. It provided the rise of president Donald Trump, then his fall and his replacement by a senile old man while the full-panic efforts to stop Trump’s return or end him by any means possible continued, causing the Democratic Party, the national news media and the U.S. justice system to trip over their distaste for him time after time, without the slightest blush of embarrassment, and keep going full-tilt-boogie until they had scorched their own credibility and Donald Trump won re-election anyway.
Nobody could have made any of that up, not even me. So this story is actual history mixed up with a whole lot of lies to fulfill my own selfish agenda. But my agenda was not to convince anybody my lies are the truth. I did it just for fun. That’s my excuse.
And the real fun part is that, Democrat or Republican, you’ll know exactly which parts of it are true and which parts are fiction.
Sure you will.
